After being in a nail polish rut all week, it was nice to pick up a handful of colors from China Glaze’s Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away 3D Collection. I obviously didn’t purchase the entire collection because I don’t have a need for all of them. Amongst the four I picked up (Hanging in the Balance, Escaping Reality, Igniting Love, and Whirled Away) I have to admit that I am totally in love with Hanging in the Balance (HITB). It is a gorgeous blue, and you all know how I love my blues!
HITB is a dark, cream turquoise blue and the brightness of the color changes depending on the lighting. The application was amazing! This formula is opaque in one coat, but in the picture below I used two. Check out the swatches below:
I am also wearing Zoya’s 18k gold flake topcoat on my ring finger as an accent. Can I say that this topcoat is AMAZEBALLS! The application is super easy and adds a little something special to the manicure. I love that the flakes can easily be spread out on the nail as opposed to depositing a bunch of flakes in one spot, which is a problem I sometimes have with glitter nail polishes. If you are interested in purchasing it, you can order it here. You get more bang for your buck if you order the set, which is $10 more than the topcoat alone, but includes two nail polishes (Raven and Purity) in addition to the topcoat.
Anywho, you can check out the entire Cirque du Soleil collection on head2toebeauty.com or sallybeauty.com. If you are interested in seeing the swatches of the rest of the colors I purchased from the collection, let me know! Talk to you soon! xx
